Read about the 2000 reorganisation of Commission 46, including its subsuming of the activities of Commission 38 (Exchange of Astronomers), the Working Group for the World-Wide Development of Astronomy, the International Schools for Young Astronomers and the Teaching for Astronomy Development program.

In 2003, Commission 46 was included in a new IAU Division XII, Union-Wide Activities.
